The First Global Workshop on Human Rights Strategies for Indigenous Leaders will be focused on the theme of indigenous communities’ rights to participation and territory in the context of extractive industry.

We invite applications from indigenous leaders from the Global South who are involved in the defense of their rights and those of their communities with respect to the protection of their lands, territories, and ways of life in their regions.

We understand this theme as a broad umbrella that will allow each of the leaders to share their experiences, work, and modes of mobilization for the protection of their rights against the actions of the state and private actors that affect them.
