Intervention in the challenge the proposed statute of intelligence and counterintelligence

Dejusticia and the Foundation for Press Freedom -FLIP- argues for the application of standards that should be applied to protect rights frequently violated by intelligence activities and, at the same time, ensure their effectiveness.
The intervention objects to different sections of the law in relation to: i) the characterization of intelligence activities and the powers granted; ii) the scope of legal reservations and classification of public documents; iii) the control of intelligence agencies; iv) the proposed methods of information collection, and v) the creation of new criminal offenses address the exercise of fundamental rights and the reservation of secret information.
