Dejusticia intervened before the Constitutional Court supporting tutela filed by Monica Roa and other women against officials of the Inspector General’s Office for violating their right to information and consequently their sexual and reproductive rights, among others
We argue that officials have a duty to provide truthful and impartial information in order for citizens to exercise their rights. By virtue of their public functions, officials have a heightened duty to immediate rectify wrong information that they have distributed. In the specific case, as it has been demonstrated that the defendant made inaccurate statements, we request they correct them to ensure the right to receive truthful information.
