Experiences in Latin American Countries on the Investigation of Complex Crimes

In this document we describe some of the experiences in the region’s countries regarding the investigation of complex crimes.

 

It is part of a project in which, with support  from the Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA), Dejusticia developed a methodological proposal for the study of the investigation of complex crimes in the countries of the region. In addition, the aforementioned project aims to analyze the research strategies developed by the Public Prosecutors’ Offices of the countries of the region to prosecute crimes of a certain complexity, based on the collection and analysis of information on the main obstacles in criminal investigation.
