The right to freedom of expression: advanced course for judges and legal practitioners in the Americas
Catalina Botero Marino, Sofía Jaramillo Otoya | July 18, 2017
This guide covers the main current legal rules under the inter-American order on freedom of expression.
This guide was designed as a basic and synthetic input to help judges and legal practitioners across the Americas who must apply international (especially inter-American) standards that enshrine and protect the fundamental right to freedom of expression.
This document is part of the project “Global Freedom of Expression” of Columbia University, which has created a global database of legal cases on freedom of expression. Dejusticia, the Foundation for Freedom of Expression (FLIP) and the Externado University of Colombia are collaborating to create a Spanish version of this database.
