This book comes form a PhD thesis writen by the author in the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, in Belgium. The book explores the symbolic efficacy of legal norms. The first three chapeters analyse the concept of symbolic efficacy both in general theory and legal theory. The second part of the book shows some examples of symbolic efficacy in the colombian legal system. The last part proposes, from a sociolegal perspective, un intermediate theory of symbolic efficacy of law form.
