Camilo Andrés Durán Acevedo is a lawyer graduated from the University of the Andes, where he also obtained a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Development Studies. He has worked as a consultant, teacher, researcher, and legal advisor, especially in areas such as environmental law, water governance, socio-environmental conflicts, and climate change. He served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of the Andes, thanks to the Francisco Pizano de Brigard Scholarship. Additionally, he has worked as a legal advisor in the Secretariat of the Fifth Commission of the Senate of the Republic and has contributed as a consultant in research projects led by the University of the Andes in the Colombian Amazon. He also served as Political Advocacy Coordinator for the “Path to Carbon Neutrality” project and co-founded a Research Group on Post-Development at the Interdisciplinary Center for Development Studies of the University of the Andes.
Currently, he is a Researcher at DeJusticia focusing on Environmental Justice.
