Carlos Olaya

Carlos is a lawyer with a master’s degree in Constitucional Law, from the National University of Colombia. Currently he is studying a master’s degree on Rural Development at the Pontifical Xaverian University.
He has worked as a resercher, adviser and technical support on topics such as the presence of rural communities in protected natural areas, territorial conflicts between ethnic and peasant communities, land issues and Peasant Reserve Zones, and the enforcement of environmental compensations. He has been a lecturer on law research at the National University of Colombia.
At Dejusticia he is an assistant researcher in the Environmental Justice Issue.
