Irina is a lawyer with specializations in ethics and political philosophy, and administrative law. She also has a Master’s degree in critical theory of law and democracy from the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía. She worked for several years as a human rights litigator. Irina also has experience in public office in the local administration of Cartagena de Indias, in the Bolivar Regional Ombudsman´s Office, in the Bolivar Territorial Victims Unit, and in various positions in the Judicial Branch in Cartagena. For more than 13 years, she has been a university professor and has researched issues of transitional justice, gender and cultural rights. Irina is the Director of the Transitional Justice area at Dejusticia.
