Jessica holds a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology from the University Paris VII – Denis Diderot in France. She holds a M.A in Migrations and Interethnic Relations from the same university. She was a fellow of the Research Institute for Development (IRD) in France.
Before joining the Dejusticia team, she worked for the World Coalition against the Death Penalty, coordinating the work of its 150 members in more than 50 countries. She also worked as a human rights consultant.
Her research work has focused on issues such as the constructions of the State, forced displacement, social mobilizations, land grabbing and rural development.
She currently works as a researcher and is the Director of the International area of Dejusticia.
