Maryluz Barragán

Maryluz Barragán González is Deputy Director of the Center for the Study of Law, Justice and Society, Dejusticia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of California, Los Angeles – UCLA (USA). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Cartagena (Colombia) and specialized in Administrative Law at the Pontificia Javeriana University (Colombia). Maryluz has served as Assistant Judge of the Colombian Constitutional Court. Before that, she coordinated the strategic litigation department of Dejusticia for several years. She also worked for the Third Section of the Colombian Council of State, the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, and the Afro-descendant and Indigenous Program of USAID. She was also a member and scholarship recipient of the Racial Discrimination Observatory
