Vanessa is a lawyer from the University of the Andes (2017). Her areas of interest are public international law, particularly international environmental law and administrative law. Before entering Dejusticia, Vanessa participated in several international law competitions and was a member of the Legal Clinic of Environment and Public Health (MASP) of the University of the Andes.

She is currently a researcher on the Environmental Justice line. Her work has focused on promoting citizen participation in environmental matters, mainly within the framework of decisions related to the extractive industry. She has also worked on climate change issues and the implementation of the environmental commitments of the peace accords.
