Vivian Newman Pont was the Executive Director of the Center for Law, Justice, and Society — Dejusticia, between 2019 and 2022.
She specializes in public law, international aid for development, transparency and anti-corruption. She has a postgraduate degree (DSU ) in Administrative Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas in France, a master’s degree (DEA) in Domestic Public Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, in Development and International Aid for Development from the University of Barcelona in Spainand in Analysis, Prevention and Counteracting Organized Crime and Corruption of the University of Pisa, Italy. She graduated with a J.D. from the Universidad Javeriana in Colombia (later validated by University of Barcelona). She has worked in the public sector with the Colombian Inspector General’s Office, in the private sector, on international negotiations at Avianca SA and in the legal department of Bavaria SA. Vivian also has lead the coordination of the public law department at the Universidad Javeriana and taught administrative law at this same University. She has published various essays on transparency, privacy and anti-corruption issues.
