Digital conversation cycle “South-South Dialogues: Challenges and Opportunities in Human Rights”
Experts from academia and international organizations will discuss common issues and propose public policy recommendations and advocacy actions for civil society
Por: Adriana Abramovits | May 22, 2020
The Legal Agenda (Lebanon) and Dejusticia (Colombia) came together to promote a series of three digital conversations on the challenges and opportunities that Global South countries face in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
The panelists will address issues of common interest for the Americas and the Middle East, such as the protection and guarantee of human rights in contexts of closure of spaces for civil society, forced migration, particularly the impact of the pandemic on migrants and refugees. They will also explore advocacy strategies to address these challenges.
This digital meeting space is created in order to share experiences, stimulate debate among experts, and foster an environment of collaboration between countries of the Global South.
The webinars, which will be held in English, will be public, free of charge and will have a segment during which the panelists will answer questions and receive input from the audience. We invite you to plan ahead and join the transmission through our YouTube channel on Thursdays May 28th, June 4th and June 11th, at 8:00 AM COT (Colombia) / 4:00 PM GMT+3 (Lebanon).
